Crash in Nevada County Claims One Life

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by an unidentified motorist hit a dump truck that was parked. The accident took place around 2:40 am last Tuesday.

The collision occurred at Indian Springs Road and McCortney Road and it resulted in the death of the driver. After the car hit the parked vehicle, it rolled down the roadside embankment where it was found later by the authorities.

The California Highway Patrol is now investigating this accident since the causes behind the crash were not made clear.

No further details were disclosed to the media.

Driver Injured in 2-vehicle Collision

An accident involving two vehicles near Ellensburg unfortunately left one man injured.

The accident took place around 10:55 Saturday morning after a 22-year-old driver who was going westbound on Highway 90 lost grip of his vehicle. According to the authorities, the trailer his Suzuki Sidekick was pulling hit a bridge, which forced both vehicle and trailer to slide in front of a semi-truck driven by a 24-year-old woman from Grandview.

The spokesperson for the Washington State Patrol claimed that the vehicles collided in the right lanes of the highway. The 24-year-old truck driver and her passenger didn’t sustain any injuries but the 22-year-old driver was taken to the hospital sustaining unknown injuries as a result of the accident.

The authorities claimed that the man was charged for driving too fast for the present road conditions.
